The Tree Foundation is proud to have accomplished so much with volunteer contributions. You can help us continue our success. A qualified volunteer is one who cares about trees, Eugene, and enjoys working with others. Some examples of how you can help are:
Or if you have special skills to share, such as administrative experience, publication expertise, or grant writing, we’d love to hear from you.
Your supporting membership in ETF will go a long way toward achieving our goal of preserving and enhancing Eugene’s urban forest. An overwhelming portion of our work is accomplished on a volunteer basis, and so our operations costs are low. Contributions directly benefit one of our three program areas – Planting, Education or Advocacy.

Duties include informing and advising Board of Directors of current fiscal status of the organization and proposing strategies from time to time. Our budget is small ($5000 to $7000 per year) but will grow. Treasurer should attend 10 monthly Board meetings per year and will sometimes meet outside of board meetings with president and/or bookkeeper. The ETF Board is committed, fun, and easy to work with.
We prefer someone with education and/or training in accounting and budgeting. The only true prerequisite for the job is an interest helping to enhance Eugene's wonderful tree-filled landscapes. Expect responsibilities to require three to five hours per month.
